What does biotechnology mean?

In the Orthopaedics and Traumatology field, biotechnology refers to a set of devices the Surgeon has at his disposition that are made up of biological materials that are able to interact with bodily tissues.

These are made up of: growth factors, mesenchymal stromal cells and bone substitutes or scaffolds.
