I received my degree in Medicine and Surgery at the University of Milan in 1982 and in 1983 I specialised in Hand and Microsurgery at the University of Louisville in Kentucky (USA). In 1987 I specialised in Orthopaedics and Traumatology and in 1990 Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation at the University of Milan. In 1994 I specialised in Hand Surgery and Microsurgery at the University of Florence. As of 1988 I am an Expert Witness in Orthopaedics and Traumatology for the Milan Court, Risk Manager since 2004 and Civil and Commercial Mediator since 2012.
